Although this is not a granny square per say, if you have never done a granny square then this is the perfect project to work on. This top is basically two rectangle granny with minimal finishing. All you need to know is how to double crochet and sew with a yarn needle.

The great thing about this top is that you can adjust the pattern easily and you can also substitute the yarn.
