The Malayan Large Flying Fox is an original souvenir. This Bat is quite similar to a real one, imitating the actually existing creature.

The Bat is crocheted from the mix yarn ; the body is stuffed with a fiberfill; the legs and wings are set on a flexible wireframe.
This cute creature is named the „Malayan Large Flying Fox“ or „Large Fruit Bat“ , however, for most non-specialists, a „Bat“ souds more familiar.
The head of the Flying Fox resembles that of a dog, and the body is covered with reddish hair.
It has relatively large eyes, reminiscent of the eyes of nocturnal monkeys.
Fox wraps its body in leathery wings like in a blanket.
Hind legs have 5 toes with long claws, well adapted for grasping branches and holding large fruits.

What skills are you going to need and what will you get

This pattern requires intermediate crochet skills and an understanding of basic terms.
There are no complicated knitting elements here. But working with fluffy yarns takes care and patience.
Working with the frame will also require diligence on your part. But don't worry, I am detailing each step. Follow my instructions and you will succeed.

What material will you need

1. The Yarn NAKO, 60% polyamide, 40% acrylic; thickness: 3.5 oz/268 yds (100 g/245 m);
   2 colors: terracotta 5520, yellow 1043.
   Total it takes about - 1.2 oz/ 35 g.
2. For the wings, front of the head, ears and as an accessory thread for the torso and scalp:
   Angora Fine yarn, 50% Kid mohair, 20% Virginia wool, 30% acrylic, thickness: 3.5 oz/ 820 yds(100 g/750 m);2 colors: black 4016, brown 4009.
   Total – 1 oz/30 g.
3. Fiberfill.
4. Copper or aluminum wire:
   It takes d 0.6 - 0.8 mm (0.024-0.03 inches , 6.6 m (260 inches) long (2 pieces of 1.75 m for the wings and 2 pieces of 1.55 m for the paws).
5. Plastic or glass eyes or shank buttons diam – 0.4´´/1 cm - 2 pcs.
6. Plastic nose diam – 0.5´´/1.2 cm.
