Sewing machine – bobbin problem

Hello,

I just bought the Silvercrest machine from Lidl this morning—probably a bit silly, since I haven’t used one since home economics class 20 years ago. I was able to do all the basics by following the instructions, but then when I did some test sewing, the fabric got stuck under the flat part, and when I pulled out the bobbin, there was thread stuck everywhere. 
According to the instructions and the troubleshooting guide, I figured out that the bobbin thread was too tight, so it said to loosen the tension with the little screw on the side. I did that, but then I loosened it too much and the screw fell out. I’ve spent the last two hours trying to put the screw back into the bobbin, and now I’m giving up—I just can’t get it in; it’s too tiny and fiddly.....I’m ready to throw the whole thing out the window right now... Help! Does anyone know if I need to buy a new bobbin case, and where?

Please help.
