Crochet pattern Penguins

The size of the penguins is 20 cm. For the crocheting will suit any yarn - cotton, acrylic,
velour or any other one.
The size of the penguin will depend on the yarn you choose, the thicker the yarn, the more
it will be needed for crocheting and the larger the toy will be. You can choose the yarn and
color according to your taste and discretion.
The head is attached to the body with a cotter pin; it allows to turn the head in the
different directions. I also used a cotter pin fastening to attach the wings. It’s not necessary
to use the cotter pins. The head and wings can be sewn to the body, but then they will not
turn to the different sides. It all depends on your resources and desires.

The pattern does not contain basic course of crocheting – you should already have the basic knowledge.

For the grey penguin: 45g of grey color Boheme Velvet
fine 50 g/190 m.
35g of dark grey color Boheme Velvet fine: 50 g/190 m
20 g of white color Boheme Velvet fine: 50 g/ 190 m.
40 g of blue color Favorita for the hat and scarf: 50 g/95 m
10 g of white color Favorita for the pompon: 50 g/95 m
For the purple penguin: 45 g of light purple color Yarn Art
Jeans 50 g/ 160 m.
35 g of dark purple color Yarn Art Jeans 50 g/ 160 m.
20 g of white color Yarn Art Jeans 50 g/ 160 m.
10 g of grey color Yarn Art Jeans 50 g/ 160 m.
40 g of white color Favorita for the hat and scarf: 50 g/95 m
10 g of white color Favorita for the pompon: 50 g/95 m
For the ice cream:
10 g of brown color Yarn Art Jeans 50 g/ 160 m
7 g of pink and 7 g of white colors Yarn Art Jeans 50 g/ 160 m
Crocheting hook 1,75 mm.
Crocheting hook for the penguin 1,75 mm, for the hat and
scarf: 3 mm.
Eyes for sewing 10- 12 mm in diameter
Cotter pins with the disks of the suitable size.
I have: for the head and body: Ø 45 mm
For the wings: Ø 20 mm.
Glue (for example Hobby Pattex)
Pastel crayons for tinting the cheeks, waterproof markers
for the fabric to tint the color changing.
1 needle for the tightenings, scissors, stuffing.
