Knitting pattern for Coastal Heart washcloth or dishcloth

Two balls of cotton yarn in two different colors, a circular knitting needle or pair of needles, basic knitting skills, and you’re ready to go.
The Coastal Heart motif of this washcloth or dishcloth is created from slip-stitch crosses, which are easy to knit once you know how.
The slip stitches are very easy, they are only slipped from one needle to the other. For crossing the stitches you will find a photo tutorial in the pattern.
The heart motif is shown as a chart. You can also use it for other knitted items (towels, blankets, bags, baby or children’s sweaters, etc.).

Size Information

A washcloth/dishcloth is approximately 24 cm x 24 cm (9.5 x 9.5 inches). Dimensions may vary depending on yarn weight and needle size.

Materials List

• 1 circular knitting needle or a pair of needles (US size 2 / metric size 2.5 mm)
• Cotton yarn (100% cotton) in 2 colors (50g of each color) e.g. Schachenmayr Catania (Sport – Fine)
  You can knit 2 washcloths from the 2 balls. Take color 1 as basic color (= the color of the seed stitch edge) for the first one and color 2 as basic color for the second one.
• 1 darning needle for weaving in the yarn ends and attaching the strap
