How I got the idea for such a scarf? First was the yarn. :-)
What shall I do with 100 or 150 gr of yarn in colourful summer colours? The colours should be seen very good and it shouldn´t be a too difficult pattern. It should be happy and fit to the colours. It should be good for hot days also warm up a little if it get´s a chilli day in the summer.
So one leads to the other and a quickly crochet scarf was done. It is asymmetric just a little like the dragon tail, but without spike therefore it gets shamrock.
This is where the name comes from: Trifolium (Latin for shamrock) and because a 4 leafed shamrock brings luck: Lucky Scarf Trifolium
It is absolutely suitable for starters as we just need single crochet, slip stitch and chains. That is really all.
One exception is when we add a button at the end. This is not necessary as you can leave it away and just use a button. But later more to that.
Every step is explained that you can follow easily and you get lots of pictures to it.
Materials:
for a small scarf 100 g, for a bigger scarf 150 g or if you like even more
Sock yarn 6 ply (Weight 280 m / 100 g – DK, #3) but you can also use every other yarn
Crochet hook size 3.50mm US E UK 9
Scissor and wool needle
A cosy chair and time
