Elongated Shawl 'Arcus Floris'

The name means ‘arc of flowers’, which it truly is. An elongated crescent shawl with lots of flowers. It is worked flat with short rows from bottom to top.

Size: 280 x 40 cm / 110 x 16“

The size can be varied by the needle size and the thickness of the yarn, please consider you might need more or less yarn.

Material:

• 550m/600yds of 5-ply gradient yarn. Every other yarn with a meterage/yardage of 320m/100g (100yds/oz) is also suitable.
• Circular Needles 4.5-5mm (US 7-8, UK 7-6), length 100cm/40“.
• 10 stitch markers
• Sewing needle for darning in the ends.

Required stitches:

• knit
• purl
• k2tog (knit 2 together)
• knobs
• ‚double stitch‘ = Doppelmasche = a german way of ‚w&t‘ (german short rows)
