Spooky times are lying ahead of us, only a few weeks to Halloween. Trick or treat - this is my contibution. A double knitted potholder.
See the pattern here.
A friendly ghost for every kitchen. His name is Boohoohoo, which I think is quite a common name for ghosts. No need to feel scared, he is only knitted.
You will need two colors of a cotton yarn, preferably one of them white, and knitting needles that are a tad smaller than what is recommended for your yarn weight. The potholder has a crochet border and a hanging loop, both of which you can leave off if you don't want them. The ghost is charted only, there are no written instructions.
A short introduction to double knitting is in the pattern, however, it is not a tutorial that will teach you the technique.
I've got a new shawl pattern out whihc is called "Land of Plums" It is an easy and relaxing to knit rectangle stole made in fingering weight yarn. You can of course also use the pattern to make a narrower scarf or an even wider stole, it is easy to adjust.
See the pattern here.
